Our weekend started out with a birthday party Bub had been invited to for a friend from school. This was my statement afterwards:
“Home from the party..there were tears, Bub made a new friend and did not want to leave. I seriously am thinking about sending his friends gifts via the mail and skipping parties all together... The drama of leaving a party exhausts me.”
We spent the rest of the day resting from all the drama and chatting with neighbors.
Yesterday we woke-up to late for church:
“Awake 9:45 a.m., set the alarm for church and hubby turned it off thinking he was hitting snooze. Errrrrr”
So I went outside and read my Bible in the sunshine and then came in and listened to Bub’s DVD Bible:
“Been listening to Bub's children's Bible DVD all day now I have this song stuck in my head: Father Abraham, had many sons; Many sons had father Abraham, And I am one of them, And so are you, So let's just praise the Lord”
I had ordered a storage bench for the pool stuff, so Brad put that together and then we moved it to the back porch and proceeded to try and figure out where we were going to put it. After about 30 minutes of:
“what about there"?”
“no I don’t like it there”
“well what about here?”
“no it will get to much sun and then who will sit on it for fear of burning their bum”
I decided to take a swim while hubs rested his eyes on the back porch so we could ponder some more. Here is the finished product.
The dog house used to be here, but now it is where all the pool stuff is and the new bench. One day when out deck is built for out pool it will go on it :) Ya know someday .
We moved Ginger’s dog house so it gets more shade and it is near here favorite Lizard and Squirrel hunting spot. Look at our Lilies they are doing famously well.
Our Patio is less cluttered, even though I still think some more stuff needs to go. Ginger Likes it.
Brad moved his fire pit and charcoal grill to the corner where eventually he will have a Grill Station and a fire pit that is in the ground. Ya know someday.
Bub ended up having a friend stay over last night and it was all fun and games til bedtime when they would not fall asleep so I had to separate them since it was going on 11 and mama needed some shut eye.
And as for our Monday morning I just have one question----
Why is my son eating pancakes
And I am eating this????
And Just Because, look at our Basil. We had to move it to a bigger pot because it is doing so well :)
And some quotes to ponder:
“Good friends are like stars.... You don't always see them, but you know they are always there”
“We are all a little weird and life's a little weird, and when we find someone whose weirdness is compatible with ours, we join up with them and fall in mutual weirdness and call it love.”
Have a Great Monday
Sounds like a pretty good weekend!-- minus the party blues. :(
