Well I must say I am just not being the blogger I used to be, but my computer is always occupied by these two:

Wait…What…Not Christmassy I know, but long story short right before we had family in for Thanksgiving Tiles started falling off the wall in our shower when hubby went to re grout.

Seems the people who installed our shower did not grout or seal it properly therefore the green board or whatever got soaking wet.  I was stressed that only having one shower with 8 people in the house was going to be madness, but it wasn’t☺and we all survived. 

We always wanted to redo this shower, just not at Christmas time….but you get what you get and you don’t pitch a fit as my son’s 1st grade teacher used to say.

And Just Because:

This little guy showed up a couple weeks ago and comes to our fence about once or twice a week to hang out and squirrel watch.

Having a Moment

The other day me and the family were watching old movies of my son at various Christmas’s.  I thoroughly enjoyed watching my son watch himself when he was really little.  He thought it was funny that he was such a Ham in front of the camera and every time he saw it he would smile real hard and squint his little eyes. 

But a part of me was sad.  I miss how he looked at me as a baby, like I was the best thing since a fresh diaper.

 

Now I get the sideways stare like my parents have lost their ever living mind.

  I miss him wanting to always snuggle and watch movies.  I miss his misspoken words that were so cute, he still has some he spits out wrong from time to time, but not like when he was really little.  I miss his unsteady walking.  I just miss him being little. 

I know, I know come back to reality Jenny don’t you remember him having the worst colic known to man and all the nights you wished he would sleep…  Not to mention the fact that your hormones went so far out of whack that you had a steady hot flash for 3 years.  But look how cute ….

 

  

How could I not miss his little squishy cheeks☺

I’ll get over it and I know he still likes to snuggle on his terms, but I just hope that it doesn’t end too soon because I am just not ready for him to be too big.

Happy Thanksgiving

I am very thankful for my family and friends.  We are having a great morning.  My Brother, Sister-n-Law and 3 nephews are down from TN and the whole family is coming over for dinner today.

I have been quite a busy bee lately. We had the annual festival at my sons school and it has kept me quite busy, but it is over and I am worn out. I know I keep saying this but hopefully I will get back to blogging regularly soon ☺

A little boys wish for Christmas

Christmas will come early for a five year old Michigan boy this year. Noah Biorkman is battling cancer and is not expected to live much longer.

Noah’s mother and WKSR morning personality Ed Carter went to school together years ago. They keep in touch by email. She mentioned the early Christmas for her son in an email to Ed today.

Hello out there

Sorry I have been MIA lately, but I was reading the Twilight Series and Vampire Diaries and I could not put them down, I literally read both series in 2 weeks. I have also been pretty busy up at the school.

My computer has also been taken over by my son who got a new game for his b-day and is on it constantly….I need a laptop something fierce.

Soo here is some randomness:

While scouring every store under the sun this weekend trying to find Higgins, My sis-n-law’s Pooch, a Small Rooster costume to no avail I came across this really cute Scarf and Glove set at Tarjay….Love that store.

Cute Huh? The gloves are the kind with no fingers which I love because I can never pick up anything with gloves on ☺

It got pretty chilly down here this weekend so we built our first fire

The whole family loves sitting outside by the fire, but this is Ginger’s favorites thing ever….She can be freezing and she won’t leave the fire, (I put her jacket on after this photo was taken).

Hello is anyone out there ??

Is this not the most beautiful setting….We had our family reunion for my husbands family out at his Uncle Johnny’s two weekends ago and I must say I love there property…Makes you just want to grab a hammock and take a nice siesta doesn’t it.

It was such a wonderful day and we got to visit with family we had not seen in quite a while.

The Whole Family (there were like 10 different cameras so no one is looking in the same direction…LOL)

Dear Lord Can I Have My 17 year Old Body Back

I have messed my back up yet again and I really am not sure how, this getting older is taking it’s toll on my poor body, that or I need to quit carrying everything under the sun in my purse.

So Precious

 

Don’t you just want to wrap them in a bubble sometimes and keep them this innocent and precious forever.

 

One day he won’t snuggle up like this to fall asleep so I have to cherish every moment I can get ☺

Butterflies In Heaven

When we lose our loved ones they never die

To turn into beautiful butterflies
So they can be near our hearts

When a father, mother, a brother, sister or a child dies

All the good things we know and love
They all go to Jesus for Him to protect

As a gift, The Lord, lets us have a glimpse of those we love
For a brief moment in time, for a short while
A butterfly is seen at our window, sent from heaven
