Monday minus the Make-up

No make-up today. 

My weekend consisted of helping the hubs break down our pool and I was tuckered and forgot all about make-up.

We had to completely take it down because of these two mini sinkholes.

There was a lot of sweating and lots of water drinking going on during this ordeal.

Matt thought this was the best day ever. He thinks he just gained a giant sand box.

All done…

Until next weekend when start the digging and leveling so we can put this bad boy back up.

Now I am going to cuddle up with my Advil, slippers and some more of the pie my Mom brought me

Bzz–Lysol Power & Free Cleaners

Look what came in the mail today

Bzz Agent sent me the Lysol Power & Free multi-purpose cleaner and multi-purpose wipes for free to test out. They come in two scents, Citrus Sparkle Zest and Oxygen Splash.

On the back of the bottle it states that the hydrogen peroxide formula releases thousands of micro bubbles that penetrate to dissolve grease and soap scum.  This can be used to wash washable walls, garbage pails, countertops, sinks, stovetops, cabinets, showers, toiler bowl exterior….The list goes on and on. They also kill 99.9% of viruses and bacteria.

Since my son has a summer cold and is insistent on sharing it with me I already planned to disinfect some bathrooms this morning. So I was ready to test this bee out..←bahahaha see my funny there.

So I started with the multi-purpose wipes in my sons bathroom.  I got them in the scent Oxygen Splash.  Not the best scent out there,but not the worst either. Here is a before of the sink and countertop.

I don’t know if you can even tell but the sink and faucet was dirty with toothpaste left overs and the counter had some sort of film from I guess brushing his teeth??

To me they worked great and got the job done. These are comparable to Clorox wipes which I usually use. I would definitely repurchase.

Next up I decided to clean my outdoor table with the multi-purpose cleaner which I got in the scent Citrus Sparkle Zest..Much better scent.  When I buy the wipes again I will get it in this scent.

This table is on my back porch where my lab also resides so it always gets extremely dirty. Don’t judge it is nasty ya’ll .

This product worked beautifully. Although this table will never be stark white like when I bought it because it is outdoors it still cleaned it very well.

So all in all I think both of these products are great for indoor cleaning and they did not agitate my skin like some cleaners do. So if you are in the market for a new cleaner I would give this one a shot.

Make-Up Monday

I bought this blush a couple months ago at Kohl’s. I had a $10 off coupon plus a percentage off coupon and really could not find anything in the store that I NEEDED, but did not want it to go to waste soooo…

I walked down there makeup isle which I usually never do.  I don’t think I ever really look in the middle section of that store much. Usually I do the outer loop of clothes, linens & shoes and call it a day.

But this blush by FLIRT caught my eye and I had never heard of the brand before. From what I have read they are owned by Estee Lauder who also owns American Beauty which is also sold at Kohl’s. What doesn’t Estee Lauder own right??

It is Peek-A-Blush in the shade Popsie (10) and it retails for $14.50. Good thing I had my discounts.  I either paid nothing or less then a $1.50 for it I can’t remember..SCORE

It is honestly one of my favorite pink blushes that I have. All of my other pink blushes have some gold or peach undertones or are extremely bright, but this one is just a nice soft pink.  Perfect for those days where you really don’t want to wear a whole lot of makeup but want a little color on your cheeks.

Next time your in Kohl’s go check them out, but make sure you got your coupons.

Weekly Wrap-Up

This week we have been rather Lazy.  The only time we left the house was Monday and Today to go to the Chiropractor and the grocery store.

Just for fun I opened up our Animal Crossing Wii game and we have been playing it all week during our laziness.  Even though it is a kiddish game it is super addicting.

Tilda was cracking us up. She was very into the game.

Make-Up Monday- Lip Balms & Butters

If you know me in real life you know I am never without a lip butter or lip balm since when did we get fancy what was wrong with chap stick .

I could probably go without actual colored lipstick as long as I have something that will hydrate my lips.

They are literally in ever nook and cranny in my house, car and in my various purses, beach bags, etc, etc…

My go to Lip balm in years past and still to this day is Blistex Medicated in the Green Tube. It works wonders if you have severely chapped lips. I have this stuff everywhere.

 

A close second is Whole Foods Organic Peppermint Lip Balm. Should have taken that picture with them in order.

I also love Burt’s Bee’s Tinted Lip Balms.  This one is a permanent fixture next to my bed.

My new Favorites that I just got are from TREAT. The Coconut Dream just screams summer.  I love it.  It sits next to my sink so I can slather some on when I am getting ready and the Pink Buttercream  lives in my side table in the living room cause you never know when your lips might start feeling dry while watching a good movie.

I am also loving the new Nivea lip butters/vitamin swirls.  All of these smell Amazing.  I keep the lip butters all over my house and the vitamin swirl comes with me wherever I go cause of the SPF factor.

Another purse necessity and beach bag must is Jack Black Lip Balm.  I don’t know how I never knew about this product til this year because it is made for men, but I absolutely love the way it makes my lips feel.  I get the shea butter one. You can get it at Ulta.
