Makeup Monday–Fall

Here are some of my favorites for Fall.

Blushes:

NYX Cocoa, Too Faced Natural Face Palette (this could be used as a all over face cause it has concealer & brightener & you can use the highlight and bronzer for eye shadows as well), & Flirt Peek A Blush in the color Popsie.

Eyes:

 ELF baked shadows in burnt plum, bark, toasted & dusk, Too faced natural at night palette, Covergirl super thick mascara & Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes, Starlooks eyeliner in Obsidian, Too Faced eyeliner in expresso, Urban decay liner in corrupt & zero.

Lips:

In order from Top, Middle then Bottom –

Top: Femme Couture Lip glosses in Mystic Mauve, Plum Fairy & Coco-lots, Covergirl natural luxe in Pinot, Revlon Just Bitten stain in Crush Begun, NYX B52, Revlon colorstay ultimate suede in Supermodel & Urban Decay in Jilted.

Middle: Lorac Tantalizer lips in Antonio & Chuck, Jack Black shea butter & vitamin E lip balm & Too Faced natural rebel palette.

Bottom: Urban Decay envious lip liner, Jordana’s Rock n Rose lip liner & Wet n Wild’s Brandy Wine lip liner.

Jordana 12 hour made to last eyeliner in Jade Jewel (I wanted the plum color to but they were out).

&

Maybelline Midnight Plum (this is limited edition so if you see it grab it).

**I never buy anything full price. I either have a coupon/discount, go on deal days, or when they are having major sales. Reward Bucks & Kohl’s cash also help.**

Makeup Monday- Ipsy September Glam Bag

My Ipsy Bag came in this past Thursday. Here is the unboxing video.

The theme for this months bag was Classic Beauty.

I received a little sample swatch of Michelle Phan’s new makeup line Em. I did a little First Impression of that a few blog posts back.

A NYX Eyeshadow in Hot Crystal which was full size and retails for $4.50. I must say I like the color as a highlight but I am not a fan of the chunk glitter in this one.  I usually love NYX shadows but this was a bit of a fail for me.

I also received a Starlooks Kohl eye liner in the color obsidian which is a matte black.  This retails for $12.00. At first it seemed like it might be a little to dry and would tug at the eyes but once dulled a bit it is actually very nice and stays put.

Next up was the the It’s So Big mascara by Elizabeth Mott in black. It retails for $19.99 for a full size, we received a travel size.This is a very wet formula which I usually steer clear of but with that being said it is actually a really good mascara. You just have to be careful when your applying it.

There were also three Freeman Paper Masks. These retail for $1.99 each. I have not tried these yet so the verdict is still out.

And last but not least I received a Cailyn Tinted Lip Balm in the color Big Apple.  This retails for $19.00.  This was a very pretty red.  A little bold for me but I just used a little frosted lip gloss and it tamed it down and was lovely.

So all in all a good bag except for one dud.  The bag was worth about $51.47 + about $5 for the bag itself so $56.47. Not bad for a $10 subscription.

Sargento Influenster Box

Last week I received my Sargento Influenster box in the mail with a voucher for a free cheese snack of choice and a coupon for my next purchase or to give to a friend. Plus it came with a really cute insulated cheese pouch for when you are on the go.

We have been purchasing string cheese since my son started school. It is so quick and easy to pack in his lunch box and it is packed with calcium and protein. So it has always been a win win. 

They have started coming out with lighter varieties so I decided to give the light string cheese a try.  Same great taste just a little shorter packaging .  If you have never given this brand a try  when it comes to sting cheese or cubed cheese they are by far our favorite.

Blog Neglect

School started and the blog went to the back burner.

I was doing so much better during the summer.

So anyway here are a couple highlights since August 28th ← Yep you read that right I am a major slacker…

So I had a Birthday the day after my last post.

I am getting old ya’ll .

NYX came to my Tarjay that same day..

Happy Birthday to me.

And Candy Corn Oreo’s were soon to follow at Tarjay..Yummy

September

We had a really bad storm sweep through our neck of the woods last week that I thought was a tornado. Trampolines were tossed around like rag dolls, fences were down, trees were down, etc…. Thank goodness these were our only casualties in the yard.

Ginger had her birthday September 6th.

And Bub had his birthday the next day.

And Yesterday I stayed home did laundry with Ginger’s help and remembered all those we lost on September 11, 2001.

I will try to be a better blogger promise.
