May Ipsy Bag & Rimmel Volume Accelerator Mascara Thoughts

The bag itself is kinda cute not my fave to be honest.

I received the:

Smashbox X-Rated. I did not care for the Smashbox Full Exposure I received in a previous Ipsy bag so I did not have high hopes for this one but it surprised me and I actually like it. Full size retails for $22.00. (IPSY15)

The Organic Pharmacy Antioxident Lip Balm. I really like this. It reminds of the Malin & Goetz lip balm I received in a previous Ipsy bag which I love. It smells kinda citrusy. If you own the Pixi Nourishing lip polish it smells exactly like that. Retails for $22.50.

Simmisglam small contour brush. I have not used this yet but it’s pretty and the bristles are soft. I could not find a price for the single brush on their site. (SLIPSY25)

Avene lotion cleanser and makeup remover. This removed mascara really well and it doesn’t burn my eyes so I give it two thumbs up. Full size retails for $20.00 (IPSY15)

And last I received a lip liner in the shade nude from BellaPierre Cosmetics. It is supposed to be waterproof but I have not really tested that out. I do like the color and it goes on very nice. Retails for $18.00. (IPSYMAY2016)

I was shopping my stash of mascaras and pulled this one out that I believe I received from Influenster as a badge prize.

It is the Rimmel Volume Accelerator. First off I am not a fan of the packaging. It is so bulky…why just why??

And the wand is ginormous. I don’t care for wands like this because you have to put in too much effort so you don’t poke your eye out or get the mascara all over the place. I am all about easy people!!

Anywho’s I was still going to give it the benefit of the doubt until after two coats and this was all I got…(ignore my eyebrows please and thank you)

I DO NOT see any Volume at all??? It claims that after 30 days your lashes will look more numerous. I tried it for 3 days. Day 2 it transferred like crazy and Day 3 I got something in my eye about 5 minutes after applying it and blinked to hard and the mascara was everywhere.. Nope I don’t think I will make it to 30 days folks.

A lot of people of Ulta love it but it looks like a lot of them layer it with another mascara so maybe that is the ticket to making it work so we will see. Ulta Reviews
